Vehicle Damage Policy – Globe Mergers
At Globe Mergers , we believe clarity builds confidence. This Vehicle Damage Policy explains how damage, loss, or incidents involving rental vehicles are managed for car rentals reserved through our platform.
1. Responsibility During the Rental
The primary renter and any approved additional drivers are fully responsible for the vehicle from pickup until return. Any damage, theft, or loss occurring during the rental period may result in charges, unless such costs are covered under an accepted protection or insurance option.
2. Protection Options & Coverage
Depending on the protection selected at booking or pickup, coverage may include:
- Damage Waiver Coverage – helps limit financial responsibility for repair costs following accidental damage.
- Third-Party Liability Protection – may cover damage or injury caused to others, subject to policy limits.
- Personal Accident Protection – provides limited coverage for medical-related expenses if included.
- Theft, Fire, or Natural Event Coverage – subject to supplier rules and regional conditions.
3. Exclusions & Non-Covered Situations
Protection plans typically do not apply in the following circumstances:
- Damage resulting from reckless, impaired, or illegal driving.
- Use of the vehicle outside approved geographic areas.
- Operation by individuals not listed on the rental agreement.
- Intentional damage, misuse, or gross negligence.
- Wear-and-tear items such as tires, wheels, or glass unless specifically covered.
4. Vehicle Condition Check
Prior to departure, renters are advised to inspect the vehicle carefully and report any existing damage to the rental provider. Documenting scratches, dents, or mechanical issues at pickup helps prevent disputes at return.
5. In Case of Damage or an Accident
- Ensure the safety of all parties involved and seek medical help if needed.
- Contact local authorities when required and obtain an official report.
- Notify the rental company and Globe Mergers as soon as possible.
- Take photographs and gather all relevant details and documentation.
6. Damage Evaluation & Charges
The rental supplier will assess the extent of damage and determine applicable repair or replacement costs. Charges may include repair expenses, loss-of-use fees, towing, or administrative costs, and may be deducted from any security deposit.
7. Insurance & Claim Processing
If an insurance or protection plan applies, all required documentation must be submitted to the insurer. While Globe Mergers may assist with coordination, claim approval and settlement decisions are made solely by the insurance provider.
